Trend: Small Studded Shoulder Bags

I love Agyness' subtle accessory. My personal fave is Miu Miu's version that Alexa Chung rocked recently (sadly can't find a pic)...but it's available on!

Fashion Forecast: The Return of Femininity shrewdly pointed out that the New York Times recent op-ed on the "No Frills Sex Appeal," the kind that Carine Roitfeld and her fashionable filles exude on the Tuileries gardens each Paris Fashion Week, the kind that Givenchy and Balmain have enlivened that past few seasons and the kind personalities like Rihanna and Lady Gaga have championed with their strong shoulders and deadly hairpieces has all but confirmed that--it's all going out. I couldn't agree more. Which is why I'm searching the Spring runways for something a touch more delicate, romantic, and well, girly! Here's what I found.

How I Want To Dress This Spring

Merry Christmas!!!

Trend: Varsity Jackets

Are baseball jackets the new leather jackets? If Alexander Wang AKA the King of Cool says so, then looks like we're all going to bat

Listen Up: N Sync - Happy Holidays

Throwback :) Sorry, what can I's my favorite Christmas song!

It-Lablel: Phobe Philo for Celine

Designer Phobe Philo is back. The stylish seamstress who single-handedly redefined the French label Chloe is now at the helm of famed house Celine. As you can see Philo has brought back her retro sensibility, clean lines and subtle bohemian flair. It-factor? The leather and wood clogs. Can't wait!

Video Vixen: Sofia Coppola Directs For Dior

Sure this is not so new, but I had to share one of my favorite TV ads on the tube. It embodies everything I love about Paris and being a girl :)

This Week In Style: Where the Wild Things Are

Chloe Sevigny and Rihanna get savage this week in leopard and fur...sorry Bethenny but it's not PETA's season.

Trend: Studded Motorcycle Jackets

I was watching the riveting music video for Alicia Key's new anthem "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" and not only was I mesmerized by the beauty of the song (it's my current favorite), but by how hot her leather perfecto was. Since Mary Kate donned her Givenchy armored sleeves last year, everyone's been going motorcross. Not until now has the mainstream like Megan Fox on the cover of Nylon and Ms. Keys caught onto the stud trend. Now back to playing her song on repeat...

Trend: Grey Gardens

I am in love with Rachel Comey's Edith Bouvier inspired collection. The retro halter tops, high-waisted shorts, cardigans and summer frocks are just perfect for my winter holiday in Miami! Bon voyage!

Listen Up: Weezer - I Want You To

I was lucky enough to see Weezer perform this live not once, but twice! Thanks Nick! :) Now that they cancelled their tour, I feel extra privileged. Get well River!

Trend: Back to Africa

From the striking Peter Beard inspired the Row lookbook (styled by DB Questionneiress Danielle Nachmani) to Jalouse's savage editorial, this spring is all about going tribal-- and we're not talking Lauren Hutton safari, but unleashing your inner Pocahantas goddess with everything from warpaint to headdresses and lots of leather

Trend: Surf's Up

I'm obsessed with the new scuba/surf vibe that's been showing up on the runways. Reminds me of my junior high school days shopping at Roxy and Alloy! Here are looks from Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga and Teen Vogue.

Trend: The Return of the Kelly Bag

Ever since Princess Grace Kelly, the famed Kelly bag by Hermes has represented all thing luxury but in recent times it's become almost overshadowed by the Birkin bag, it's younger, cooler sister. Until now. The Olsen girls donned theirs at the TIm Burton show at the MoMA, all but officiating that the Kelly bag is back. Now just try and get yourself on a list. In our instant gratification era, the Kelly may be the only thing worth waiting for.

22. Best piece of advice? Be yourself, it's enough.

Listen Up: Lissy Trullie

This East Village resident doesn't need street cred like former Beatrice Inn DJ, model, or Lit regular to make people take notice. Her music speaks for itself. Here's what I'm listening to now: Boy, Boy. Definitely pick up her album which drops soon!

New Designer Crush: Joseph Altuzarra

While "looking at expensive clothes we can't buy," at the Webster in Miami (the new shop-cum-restaurant that houses every designer under the sun plus the famed Caviar Kaspia of Paris) my friend/stylist Danielle and I were eyeing a gorgeous silky white two-piece by a designer I never heard of. Danielle of course had and said he is "everything". I have to agree. Maybe it's the muted palette, maybe it's that I'm feeling very native American this spring, or maybe it just screams Isabel Marant, but here are my three favorite looks from the Spring 2010 season.

Trend: Breton Stripes

One fad that never fades is Breton Stripes. Ever since American starlet Jean Seberg made all of France fall head over heels in Godard's epic Breathless, the simple style is virtually foolproof. Even in the stark winter NYC girls including stylish socialite Poppy Delvigne wear the look effortlessly.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover

Or maybe in this case you can. French designer and girl about town Olympia Le Tan has designed the definition of me-- literature and fashion in an easy to carry hand-stiched clutch. The Moby Dick version is my personal favorite. Too bad they go for about $1700 exclusively at Colette in Paris and the Webster in Miami. Maybe I'll stick with my kindle. Tear.
